GEORGE LYNCH Tears It Up At NAMM
February 16, 2005Former DOKKEN guitarist George Lynch's official web site has issued the following update:
"Show dates began in northern California and smoothly warmed the band up to a well-oiled machine.
"Playing these shows led George into NAMM week where the first stop was a headlining gig at the Anaheim House of Blues at Disneyland. After barnstorming that venue, George & Co. were off to Long Beach to participate at the 'NAMM Night Of Guitar' event that included some of the most fiery rock guitar playing this side of the sun! That night opened with TESLA's Frank Hannon and his solo band just kicking some major ass. Gilby Clarke followed and he was flanked by special guests Roger Fisher (original HEART guitarist) and Bruce Kulick (of KISS fame). George took the stage to a very strong audience reception, burning through his set alongside Kelly Keeling, Marten Andersson and Michael 'Fro' Frowein in that flawless performance. Michael Schenker put an end to the night in grand style. The next night saw George still on fire at the ESP Guitars 30th Anniversary Concert.
"It was such an honor to help celebrate ESP years of dedication to the guitar world.
"Right after that show in the same night, without missing a step, we were hustled across town to the Dean Markley endorsers concert, where George participated in one of the most star-filled events for NAMM. Artists included were Warren DeMartini, Dick Dale, Neil Zaza, Jon Anderson (of YES),Yngwie Malmsteen, Wil Calhoun (LIVING COLOUR) and Neal Schon.
"The end of the evening was capped off with George in a lengthy all-star jam with Nuno Bettencourt, Gary Cherone, Michael Anthony and Snake Sabo (of SKID ROW) just tearing it up to a packed full-capacity audience. It was truly a sight to behold.
"The actual NAMM exhibit floor found George at several meetings with many of his endorsers and other companies. Dean Markley, Seymour Duncan and ESP Guitars were noteable in George's behalf. George personally demonstrated the new GL Time Machine Boost at the Robert Keeley/Legendary Tones exhibit and spoke in depth about the new pedal. The presentation was well-received and it was a thrill for many to see the new item up close as George talked about the GL TMB.
"You can see the new TMB at GeorgeLynch.com."
